Investment in Athletics & Activities
The Millcreek Township School District is in the early-stage initiatives of acquiring renderings for a multi-athletic complex and has committed the initial five-million-dollar investment as part of a bond acquisition. The envisioned multi-athletic/activity complex will provide modern amenities to accommodate a diverse range of sport and student activities. The proposed facility seeks to transform the athletic and spectator experience for our students and the wider community, enhancing opportunities for physical activity, skill development, and community engagement.
People are often surprised to learn about the number of students in the Millcreek Township School District that are eligible for free and reduced lunch. Often school staff spend their own money purchasing items for essential items for students. We have assisted some of our schools in setting up School/Classroom Registries with Walmart. MEF accepts and distributes gifts of personal care products and school supplies for all MTSD students.
(Food items are not accepted as they are provided by another organization.)
The following are the current Registries that are set-up:

Teacher & Staff Appreciation
MEF partners with many local businesses that support Millcreek Students. PopLuck is a favorite business that supports our MEF Grants Program. Each year, we sell Popcorn "Grams" for supporters to send messages with a bag of popcorn - to be delivered to any of the Millcreek School District buildings. It is a fun way to let these hard-working individuals know that they are appreciated.
Use the link to purchase a Popcorn Gram by May 12th -and it will be delivered the following week. In addition, anyone visiting PopLuck on National Teacher Appreciation Day (Wednesday, May 8th) and purchasing the "Celebrate" flavor in any size, MEF will receive 20%!
Erie Gives Day
MEF has participated in this community, 12-hour, annual day of giving for ten years. Benefactors must give on-line between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Checks must be received by the Erie Community Foundation by 5 p.m. the day before Erie Gives Day to be included in the match. The more gifts we receive, the greater our portion of the prorated match! Corporate matching gifts will increase your gift to the Foundation!

We want to get Brain & Body Break boxes into the hands of every K-5 students in Millcreek schools. These boxes, estimated at $10 each, will contain items that will engage students in Action Based Learning (ABL), fun projects and activities - safely. From art supplies to pool noodles for cardio drumming, students helped select the fun items that can be used over and over. Some of the items may be purchased from MEF's Walmart Registry for Good site or you can donate to MEF and designate your gift to support this program.
