2025 Impact Report: Turning Care Into Lasting Impact
Impact doesn’t happen in isolation. It grows through connection.
In recent years, MEF has focused not only on students, but also on the educators and staff who care for them every day. We know that when the people who support students feel valued, encouraged, and connected, that care is passed directly into classrooms and hallways across the district. Programs like MEF Bright Spots and Marigold nominations reflect our belief that gratitude, morale, and human connection are powerful drivers of student success.
Giving to MEF is a meaningful way to invest in the long-term strength of our schools and our community. It’s also a way for McDowell graduates and supporters near and far to stay connected—continuing a legacy that reaches well beyond graduation.
We invite you to explore our 2025 Impact Report and see what’s possible when a community comes together with shared purpose. The progress we’ve made is a reflection of collective belief, generosity, and the simple truth that when we take care of the people who care for students, everyone grows stronger.
Human connections are the investments
that power student success.
Today, October 6, 2025, we proudly dedicated 10 new Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) machines & alarm cabinets for use across MTSD facilities.
Thanks to the generous grant support of LECOM & AEDGrants.com, this vital investment directly enhances the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors by ensuring timely access to life-saving equipment during cardiac emergencies.
This initiative reflects a strong commitment to community health, safety, and education. We are sincerely grateful for the continued partnership and support that make efforts like this possible.
A special thank you to JS Wilson Principal, Dr. Kirk Atwood, for sharing his niece's story and underscoring the need to have adequate AED coverage areas. We would also like to extend our gratitude to LECOM representatives, Dr. Casey Becker and Msgr. David Rubino and the entire LECOM organization, for their commitment to our district goals and commitment to community. They are shown with MTSD Superintendent, Dr. John Cavanagh cutting the ribbon for one of the new devices.

The students of the Millcreek Township School District are the heart of MEF, and their needs are the reason we exist. We are grateful for the community's generous support, helping us to provide resources that enhance their educational experiences, all designed to prepare them for the future. We are also able to meet students' most basic needs—such as clothing, personal care items, and more.
Giving to MEF is a meaningful way to invest in our community's growth and long-term stability. It's a reason for McDowell graduates to stay connected and continue making a difference.
