Established in 1983, the Millcreek Education Foundation, formerly the Millcreek Schools Foundation, was among the first in the United States to be established. Among the very first appeals, Superintendent Robert J. Agnew compiled a 33-page booklet to detail the needs of McDowell High School. The "Margin of Excellence" Program unveiled in 1987 included a itemized wish list from individual departments and a Pledge Card to receive commitments from corporate and individual supporters.
Among the items on the wish list in addition to student scholarships:

The Millcreek Education Foundation's philanthropic footprint increases with each need fulfilled for Millcreek students. Any time we can connect supporters with ways to provide education enhancing experiences to students, we are making an impact. With approximately 7,000 students, hundreds of teachers and staff - we do what we do to give things that make a difference.
With tens of thousands of Millcreek and McDowell High School Alumni, we are fortunate to have the support and encouragement from the very people that benefited from their exceptional education in Millcreek schools.
